First Pitch Competition

First Pitch calls on budding young entrepreneurs aged up to 18 to enter their best business pitch for the chance to win great prizes.

 

You can submit a 3-minute pitch on a business innovation or idea that can make a difference in your community and Australia wide. Your pitch will be judged by a local panel of entrepreneurs and business professionals, and the state winners get to participate in the national championship.

 

Entries are open until Sunday 9 October at 11.59pm.

KSCPP Essay Contest

To promote understanding and appreciation of Korean history and culture, KSCPP is hosting its 2nd Essay Contest in Australia.

 

The contest is open to students in Years 5-12. Entrants are required to read King Sejong the Great: The Everlasting Light of Korea and answer one of the three following questions:

  1. What lessons can we learn from King Sejong’s leadership for our own lives and actions in society?
  2. What is the most important achievement of Sejong’s reign, and why do you say this?
  3. What impressed you the most about Sejong’s efforts to serve his people, and why?

There is a top prize of $500 up for grabs.

SBS Emerging Writers’ Competition

SBS is looking to unearth a new crop of talented Australian writers, with the return of the SBS Emerging Writers’ Competition for 2022.

 

An initiative from SBS Voices, the competition aims to uncover bold new voices that reflect the diversity of contemporary Australia by inviting aspiring writers to share their stories and have their voices heard.

 

Open for entries from 16 August – 13 September 2022, the theme of this year’s competition is ‘Emergence’. Entrants are invited to interpret this theme as they choose, whether it’s a story of emerging fully into their true selves, or an event arising in the narrative of their life. All entries must be pieces of non-fiction memoir.

Sony World Photography Awards Youth Competition

Entries to the Sony World Photography Awards Youth Competition are open.

 

For this year’s Youth competition, we’re asking you to show us Your Everyday. What does your day-to-day look like? What people surround you? What scenes do you see – bustling streets or idyllic landscapes? Whatever the genre, technique or subject matter, we want to embrace your unique view of the world.
