School Context Statement

3.1
Macleod College is a co-educational state P-12 college with a strong history of academic achievement and of nurturing students to reach their personal potential. The community supports the implementation of a range of teaching and learning strategies in order to provide relevant learning experiences that recognise the students’ individual needs and help produce independent, skilled, resilient and tolerant learners equipped to live productively in a society experiencing rapid change.
Through its support of traditional curriculum values the school has a broad yet cohesive, safe yet challenging learning environment that promotes academic excellence in the eight Key Learning Areas. Within this framework, individual differences of learning style and ability, age, and gender are catered for and mutual respect for diversity is engendered.
