Book Week

Wow, what an incredible week we had, celebrating Book Week! With this year's theme being ‘Dreaming with eyes open…’ we saw some incredible costumes! Everything from dragons, Where’s Wally, Marvel Superheros to evil witches, wizards and classic Disney characters have filled the school grounds.

Our Year 6 Library Leader’s worked hard to sift through the MANY Book Week competition entries to select our lucky winners. Congratulations to our winners and everyone who took the time to enter. 

Cheering and laughing filled the grounds around 2:40pm and 3:10pm as students watched on in excitement for our Ice Bucket Challenge, where they saw many of their favourite teachers have ice cold water poured over their heads by our Year 6 leaders. A huge shout out to Mr Cooper who took part in this twice. Thank you to Miss Alysha, Miss Britt, Miss Trisha, Mr Paul, Mr Steve, Mr Jac, Miss Georgina and our Business Manager Kaye who all took part, alongside myself in braving the 11 degree weather for the event. 

Thank you also to the community for sending in gold coin donations, helping us raise $400 for The Breast Cancer Foundation.  

Finally, thank you to the wonderful Miss Nicole, who spends so many hours decorating the library, organising prizes and activities, promoting Book Week and setting up the Book Fair for the community to enjoy.

We look forward to making next year even bigger and better!
