Happiness is Happening in 1/2H!!

What is so special about this class? Let’s find out!
We are Anna and Maria and for this week's Class Spotlight on one of our 1/2 classes. Today we interviewed 2 enthusiastic students that were really easy and cooperative to interview. It is clear to see that 1/2 H loves being in their class and enjoys what they are learning at the moment. We asked them about what they were doing in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. The students that we spoke to were delighted to tell us what they have been up to. This is what they had to say:

| What makes your class such a special place to learn in? |
Everyone in our class is nice and kind and this makes the class a nice place to be. We are all friends and we help each other learn. I like my teacher. She is fun and helps us understand things that we are learning.

| What is your class doing at the moment in Reading? |
We get our Reading books and the text on our laptops. We need to then write 3 facts about the part of the text that Ms. Huynh tells us to. After this we need to look at what the part is about, this is our main idea. Then we do some reading on our own.

| What is your class doing at the moment in Writing? |
We get a paper and fold it into thirds then unfold it. After that we write things about Werribee Zoo inside the sections. I think we are learning to tell someone what happened at the zoo and what our favourite part was.

| What is your class doing at the moment in Mathematics? |
We are learning to use different strategies and currently we are learning the group strategy to help us in division. This helps us to understand how to split the group to solve questions.

| What is your favourite part about being a student at Albanvale Primary School? |
| I like how the teachers give us the right amount of work and not too much. They make learning fun for me and my classmates. I also enjoy the activities that our PE teacher gives us as well as Art, STEM and Italian. |
It is clear that the students in 1/2 H are doing some awesome work and this has allowed the class to learn some great things. We will be back next week to highlight the great work that another of Albanvale Primary School Classes work is doing.
