Principal's Report

Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. Henry Ford
‘Connected community’ remains a great strength of our College and over the past week, I have enjoyed many memorable occasions. Last weekend, I watched five Hockey Grand Finals and attended an excellent end of season dinner. Three College Hockey teams won premierships; all five were champion teams; not forgetting the incredible success of our State Champion Hockey 7s boys’ and girls’ teams from Myrniong. Last night, I supported College ‘Citizens’ against Monivae in the Soccer Grand Final. With no reserves and an injured player, our young team played with enormous courage against an older opponent to win 2-1 in extra-time. I commend Hamed Fayazi, Euan Sutherland, Rafael Gaio, Gabriel and Luke Marshall, Alastair Baker and Tom Stratmann on their hard fought victory.
Please note that I recently received Mr Ralph Carolan’s resignation as Deputy Principal: Teaching and Learning. Mr Carolan has served the College nobly for the past two years in this incredibly important position and he will be missed. I am already interviewing for his successor.
Finally, I thank all students, staff and families for your commitment and support this term. If you happen to visit the Royal Melbourne Show, please ensure you visit to say hi to our College Show Team (pictured above) in the Melbourne Showgrounds from Saturday 21 September to Tuesday 24 September. Enjoy!
