Introducing Jen 

As Educators, our role is to empower young people to realise their potential - to question assumptions, to think deeply, to live a balanced life and apply ethical principles to make a difference for themselves and others. The influence of education is far-reaching and ultimately shapes a society's culture.

After nearly a decade working internationally, Preshil was my school of choice to continue my education career in Victoria. It was clear from my first visit to the School earlier this year that Preshil is a place that enables students to be challenged academically in a safe, holistic environment. It is a school that advocates for student voice/choice, seeks opportunity to celebrate diversity and is unwavering in its commitment to leading a learning community where students and staff thrive. I am excited to be stepping into the role of Acting Head of Campus (Secondary School) in 2019.

Previous to joining Preshil in July this year, I was an international Educator with Think Global School – an independent high school that travels to twelve different countries over the course of three years. I also spent three years living in Indonesia where I was the Visual Arts Coordinator at Green School, Bali. However, my international career actually began in Saudi Arabia where I was Assistant Head (Secondary) at the British International School Riyadh.

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, I now call Melbourne my home. In my spare time, I am happiest when engaged in a range of outdoor pursuits including diving, hiking, swimming and mountain biking.

I look forward to working with the Preshil community, in my new role, in 2019.
