VCE Unit 3-4 Practice Examinations

Our Year 12 students have completed their practice examinations this week and it was pleasing to see the mature and diligent approach that our students took to each session. The practice exams were conducted under VCAA guidelines, with the goal of providing the students with a realistic examination rehearsal.

Students will receive their practice examination feedback and results in their classes and they should use this feedback to guide their revision as they approach the final examination period. Classes will continue as normal until Speech Day and teachers will be available for consultation after the conclusion of formal classes. Students are encouraged to make the most of the opportunities offered in the final few weeks of study.

Semester Two Examinations and Step Up

Year 10 and 11 Examinations will take place in Week 8 of the term, running from Monday, 25 November to Friday, 29 November. After the conclusion of the examinations, Year 10 and 11 students will commence their 2020 subjects as part of the Step-Up program. These classes will be an important foundation for next year and classes will begin in Term One with the assumption that students have completed the Step-Up tasks. Students who are absent during this period should contact their class teacher so that they can make arrangements to catch up on the work.

Traditionally, Year 11 students are allowed the privilege of studying at home during examination week, provided they complete and return the permission form to Miss Waldron. This is the same process that was followed in the middle of the year and students will again be briefed about it when we are closer to examination week.

Year 7, 8 and 9 Examinations will take place in Week 9 of the term and timetables for all examinations will be sent to students later in the term.
