Interhouse Games

Thanks to Sport Captain Emma and the House Captains, we were able to run an Inter- House games last term.  We reported on the first few events in the last edition where we had the Hunger Games and Uno Elimination complete.

We then held Sprints on the oval for the houses, as well as three days of Dodgeball to work out the standings for the grand final.  In the last week of term, the Captains took over the San Damiano and tennis courts for the finals.  Bench ball was the chosen sport, and Mr Rodgers and Mr O’Gorman kept the whole college entertained as our guest commentators as students tuned in from the classrooms.

The games were fast and skilful, but it came down to two teams playing off on the centre court for victory.  Rieti and Belle Prairie gave a spectacle to the viewers, but in the end the skill and tactics of Rieti’s Captain, Victoria Ah San, was too much and Rieti closed the game 5-1.  Well done to all who participated over the three weeks, and a massive thank you to Emma, the Sport Committee, and the House Captains on the organisation of this.
