Primary Sub School News
Thank you to families for maintaining a link between home and school during this time of disruption due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
It is wonderfully reassuring to see so many photos and videos on the See Saw App depicting students enjoying learning at home. By capturing your child’s learning in this way and sharing it with teachers, you are providing valuable information to help our teachers monitor and assess student progress as a means of providing the knowledge they need to prepare motivating and enjoyable educational activities for your child to work on at home.
It’s great to know our students are taking advantage of a range of on-line educational programs such as Reading Eggs, Mathletics and Sunshine Classics. As an additional support to learning at home, families are welcome to access the Department of Education and Training Victoria website ‘FUSE’.
FUSE has been set up to assist school teachers, students and parents to access digital resources that can be used to support learning at home. Resources include sets of self-directed learning activities that can be provided to students in the form of a Word document or as a printed workbook, and activities parents can do with younger children.

Enjoy and have fun!
Middle Years Sub School News
In Weeks 5 and 6, we have continued to try our best to complete our tasks or do simple things, such as helping my family with simple tasks around the house.
We know that even though life is hard for lots of people, we are doing what we can at school or at home.
It is great for some of us to get in contact with our teachers again. We miss them a lot and all look forward to seeing them really soon
Secondary Sub School News
Thank you to all the parents/carers, students and staff who are working together in the Secondary Sub School. I thought now would be a good time to mention that the JSA website has some great community resources for you all to look at regarding our Inclusion policies and supporting documents, including our Core Vocabulary Board. These resources can be found here: http://www.jacanaschoolforautism.vic.edu.au/?page_id=1923
You will find some useful information on how the partnerships between families and JSA can strengthen our community during this time. Thanks again for everything that you do!
