  • Friday 18th - Last Day of Term 3- Students finish at 2pm.

Just a note that the Student Absence Line is still being monitored for students during Remote and Flexible Learning.  If your child is unable to do their school work remotely, (or not attend school if they are attending on-site) for any reason, could you please text the Student Absence Line: 0439 114 197, with the students name, room number and reason for absence. Your child's teacher will be notified of this information so rolls can be marked accordingly.

Parent Information Session – 

PARENTING IN A DIGITAL WORLD

 

Our next parent information session will be a presentation from The Alannah and Madeline Foundation focusing on sharing information to parents and carers about our Online world. As a school we have noticed that a lot of our students are now accessing the internet for multiple reasons including remote learning. As a school we want to ensure that your children, our students are safe while they are on the internet. 

More information will be available to you via email and school Facebook page in the next few days. Please note that this session is online only as we are mostly all working remotely from home.

Our next information session will be held Thursday 3rd of September at 9.30am via WEBEX. If you are interested in attending, please send me an email and I will provide you with the link to the meeting on WEBEX. My email address is Michelle.Zammit@education.vic.gov.au.

 

FREE Webinar for parents and carers to help build family resilience during COVID-19

 

Dear parents and carers,

 

The Department of Education and Training is presenting a free webinar for parents and carers by renowned child psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, on building family resilience during coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

Parents and carers play a vital role in helping children feel safe through uncertain times and this will be a great opportunity to access new information about building resilience for your children. 

 

Dr Carr-Gregg’s webinar is aptly named Managing the Coronacoaster – Tips for building resilient families in the coronavirus era.

In this webinar, Dr Carr-Gregg provides tools and strategies for parents and carers to help manage the lockdown and remote learning. Topics include:

  • your supportive role
  • setting the emotional tone
  • focusing on what you can control
  • how to deal with disappointment
  • further resources and where to get help.

Dr Carr-Gregg’s presentation will run for 45 minutes. This will be followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session in which parents and carers can ask Dr Carr-Gregg questions.
