From the Deputy Principal

Megan Nertney

It is hard to believe that this is the last newsletter for the year! What an amazing year we have had. There has been so much wonderful learning, happy smiles, and many community celebrations.

Last Sunday we marked the beginning of the Church’s season of Advent which leads into Christmas. The Christmas season is an exciting time of the year where families get together to share a meal and exchange gifts. The excitement of Santa, singing carols and putting up Christmas decorations is in the air. However, it is important to remember the real reason for the season as this is the time to remember the birth of Jesus.

What a sensational carols night we had last night. There was so much festive cheer. It was a magical evening and the children sung with enthusiasm. A big thank you to the POTS committee for the delicious food. The POTS committee was Liz Ziersch, Narelle Lightfoot, Alicia Tomlin, Jane Linsley and Jewelz Lee. An event cannot happen on its own and this night happened through the hard work of many staff. A big thank you to all staff as well as the carols committee for organising the event: Caroline Beven, Michael Aistrope, Tina Metcalfe, Melissa Marshall and Mike Boland.

Our awards day today was a wonderful way to celebrate the success and hard work of some of our students. At Living Waters, everyone works hard in their own way. We see many children on a regular basis living out our school values of Love, Service, Courage and Endeavour. The teachers had a difficult job of just choosing a few children from the class to receive awards.

Next week we farewell our Year 6 group. They have been a group full of energy and enthusiasm. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours. Please come back to visit us.

We have a few more events next week so please keep an eye on the calendars. We look forward to seeing you at our closing worship on Thursday at 1.30pm.

I would like to thank everyone for their support in 2022. I wish you a safe, happy and blessed holiday break. See you in 2023!
