Term 3 CSR Meeting

We had a very well attended Term 3 CSR Meeting last month and were delighted that both our Head of Junior School, Lucas Collins, and Deputy Head of Senior School, Jon Williams, were able to join us.

It was wonderful to hear about the catch-ups, both small and large, being held for individual cohorts and about the plans for the future. Many are taking advantage of the Centenary Gala as their Term 3 catch up. If you haven’t already, you can book tickets here

Please join the WhatsApp group or Facebook page for your year level to stay up-to-date with news and goings on.

Thank you to all our fantastic CSRs who do such a good job of keeping our community engaged and connected.

PFA Administration Staff Thank You Lunch

On Thursday 7 September, the PFA is hosting a special lunch for our wonderful administration, library and maintenance staff. This event is to thank them for their tireless efforts behind the scenes, which play a vital role in keeping the School operations running smoothly.

We invite all families to contribute to the Lunch by providing a plate of food for the team to enjoy. Some suggestions include: finger sandwiches, pastries, salad, roast chicken, pasta dishes, sushi, sausage rolls, a fruit platter, or even some sweet treats. Please indicate if your food is gluten free, vegan, etc and please remember - no nuts.

Food deliveries will be welcomed at Main Reception before 10.00am on the day, and all reusable and named containers, platters, plates and stands will be available for collection from Main Reception from 2.00pm.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

PFA General Meeting

The next PFA General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 5 September from 7.30 to 8.30pm in the Boardroom. Everyone is welcome to attend.

CALLING VOLUNTEERS FOR FATHER'S DAY BREAKFAST

We need help to make sure the event runs smoothly, so if you can spare a few hours on the day to help set up and serve breakfast, please sign up here. All contributions of time and effort are much appreciated.

Kilvington Cares – Calling new cooks

The Kilvington Cares Program supports our School community by providing meals to anyone in need of a helping hand. The program reflects the Kilvington motto of 'Non Nobis Sed Omnibus (‘not for our own, but others’ good’) and is greatly appreciated by recipients.

We are always looking for additional volunteers to sign up to the roster and cook either a sweet or savory item (or both) and deliver to Main Reception on a day that suits.

This presents a great opportunity for parents to contribute out of school hours and in an anonymous capacity. If you would like to sign up as a Kilvington Cares volunteer, you can do so here.

A huge thanks to those who signed up last month, so great to see some new names on the roster!

Just a reminder that you can reach out to Community Relations Officer, Bianca Lapins, via lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au if you would like to nominate someone who would greatly benefit from a hug from our fabulous Kilvington community.

Entertainer membership on sale

Buy your Entertainer membership by the end of the month and you will receive a free four month extension on all 12 and 24 month purchases.

You can buy your membership here by 11.59pm on Thursday 31 August 2023.

Secondhand Uniform Shop (SHUS)

The SHUS will next be open tomorrow, Saturday 25 August, from 9.00 to 11.00am in Dalton Hall.

The team will be accepting items for consignment. All items need to be in excellent condition and freshly cleaned. Blazers, tunics, skirts and pants should be dry cleaned please.

Thank you to Briohny Marshall and the SHUS volunteers for providing this great service for our students.

PFA Refreshments at Junior School Production

The PFA will be providing refreshments before the Junior School Production of Moana on Tuesday 12 September and Thursday 14 September in the Staff Lounge.

We need some help selling drinks and snacks, so if you can help from 6.15 to 7.30pm, please sign up here. Thank you.

PFA Hospitality Coordinator - Recruiting a mini team!

As our fabulous PFA Hospitality Coordinator, Carrie, is ending her Kilvington journey at the end of this year, we’re in search of her replacement. However, in the future we'd love this to be a shared role between two, three or even four people!

The hospitality events this role oversees include the set up of the PFA Staff Morning Tea, arranging and selling refreshments at both the Junior School and the Senior School Productions, and providing a sausage sizzle and selling snacks at the Senior School Athletics Day.

The primary role is to purchase goods, allocate rosters and oversee the events. The PFA supports this role with volunteers on the day and with any administration assistance required. It’s a super fun role, and an easy way to get involved with the broader community outside of your cohort.

It would be fabulous to have those interested join us at the upcoming Junior School Production, where the refreshment sales take place. You can see what it’s all about and potentially join the team.
