Student Achievements

Imperial College Global Summer School

Jude Teo, Year 11, flew to London over the winter holidays to participate in the Imperial College Global Summer School

The Global Summer School is a two week program held on-campus with 200 students from all over the world working in one of three streams: Medicine, Engineering, or Physics. These elective streams take place during the first week, before merging into ‘Enterprise Week’.

Jude's group, out of 28 groups of seven to eight students, won the enterprise pitch challenge that took place during the second week! What an incredible achievement! Congratulations, Jude.

The event was professionally filmed, with ex-Olympian Steven Bradbury as the host. You can watch the competition here. Henry's category is mentioned at 1:36.03. Well done Henry!

World Cup Flag Bearer

Congratulations to Clancy Westaway, who was nominated by Football Victoria’s referee department to be one of six flagbearers for the Women's World Cup Australia versus Canada soccer match on 31 July! How amazing!

Clancy left School last year (when she was in Year 9) to study remotely, as she is hoping to play soccer professionally. She still has siblings who study here.

Currently, Clancy is in FV’s Talent Pool and Academy program for referees. She also plays for the Victorian U17 National Training Centre (NTC) team, and is in the extended squad of the national Junior Matilda’s U17 program.

Congratulations Clancy! We wish you all the best on your soccer journey.
