Middle Unit -2/3

Welcome back! 

It’s been an amazing start to 2023 with so many happy, smiling, enthusiastic faces of the Year 2 and 3 students. Everyone has made the most of being back into the classroom and have already produced some outstanding work. In week one, the Middle Unit students have been learning all about the school values. In particular we have had many conversations around the value ‘Be a Learner’. Being a learner is all about having a growth mindset and setting goals that will ensure we all achieve our personal best. 

In Writing the students have been putting great amounts of detail into their holiday recounts and using the 5 senses to capture their favourite moments. They all sound like they had an incredible break and have made memories that will last a lifetime. 

For Reading the students have begun the process of establishing effective work habits needed for reading activities and collaborative work and have been introduced to their first class novel for the year. 

Next week is another big one, with all of our teachers conducting our Parent/Teacher Meet and Greets.
