Our Class of 2023 jackets and hoodies are here

How do you spot a Year 12 student at Glenroy College? Just look for the Class of 2023 threads!

Having a special jacket or hoodie that's just for students tackling Year 12 is now a popular tradition at Glenroy College. Hitting that Year 12 milestone is something all students look forward to as they navigate their learning journey at our school.

There are two smart options - a varsity jacket or fleecy hoodie - in Glenroy College colours as seen above on some of our fashion-savvy students. The names of our entire Year 12 cohort are printed on the back of each jacket or jumper. Students can also have their own moniker or nickname added as an extra-special memento of their time at Glenroy College.

New planner is a work of student art

Another Glenroy College tradition is to choose a piece of student artwork to adorn the cover of our annual planner. This year's eye-catching design comes from Year 11 high-achieving student Alishba Tauseef .

You can read more about Alishba, her artwork and how it ended up on the cover of the official staff and student planner over on our Glenroy College website.

Our Year 12 Food Technology class got off to a cracking start this term under the watchful gaze of new VCE Foods teacher Michael Molinari. Students chopped, sliced, diced and - yes - cracked copious eggs to make frittatas. Students learnt that chopping raw onions can bring even the toughest boys to tears, that - and that eggs are best cooked on low if you don't want them to burn. And here's another little Glenroy College kitchen fact that parents may appreciate. Each student was responsible for washing their own dirty dishes - a skill you might ask them to demonstrate at home!
