Year Five Animal Portraits

For the past term and a half, the students have been working diligently on their animal portraits. It has been a long process, taking 600-700 minutes of class time to complete.

The main understanding we've been concentrating on was learning how to use 'line' to create simple shapes, textures and actual and implied lines. Careful use of contrasting colours and techniques also assisted in developing the new concept of 'implied lines.'
