Green Team
Thank you to everyone who donated plants to Kingswood Primary School for National Tree Planting Day.
25 plants donated by Dingley Village Community Bank Branch, Garden World, Kingston Council and Braeside Park we’re planted by the Green team on Monday. There are still many more still to be planted in the coming weeks.
Bottle Caps and Bread Tags
Based on the suggestion by Kingswood families, we have set up a collection station for bread tags and bottle caps. You can find this in the foyer of Unit C, where the visitors toilets are (just as you're about to walk into the art room). Please ask the office staff for help finding it if you're not sure.
The bottle caps will be made into prosthetic limbs by the company 'Envision'. Follow this link for more information:
The bread tags will be turned into wheelchairs by the company 'Breadtags for Wheelchairs'. Follow this link for more information:

Battery Recycling
Just a reminder that we have a battery collection drop off point in the same foyer as above, in order to save our batteries from going to landfill.
Leader Local Grant Awards
Wow! This year was the third year in a row that we have been voted as a finalist for the Leader Local Grants. Congratulations to Kingston Heath Primary School who won the grant this year to improve their kitchen facilities. We'd like to thank everyone for your continued support towards our Sustainability program at Kingswood and for all of your votes. Even though we didn't win, it is so encouraging to know we have the community's support for environmental projects. You can guarantee that we will be back to try again next year!

More about the film:
2040 is a hybrid feature documentary that looks to the future, but is vitally important NOW! Award-winning director Damon Gameau (That Sugar Film) embarks on journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embraced the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a vision board of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.
