ARTS MATTERS

THE ART OF DIVERSITY EXHIBITION
“The Art of Diversity” exhibition is currently being held at the Glen Eira City Council Gallery, until Saturday 17 November. It provided the public with a unique snapshot of McKinnon’s creative talent and rewarded a select number of Studio Art students with the privilege of having their works collectively showcased. The exhibition featured a diverse range of artworks by emerging artists in Years 11 and 12, including Lucia Roohizadegan, Belle Rundle, Jiting Li, Grace Hanna, Mersades Kyrou, Mia Stikoltzik and Caitlyn Oakley.
The students’ skilful and innovative use of a multitude of materials and techniques, such as floetrol, sculpting clay, thermoplastic and washaway, provided an exciting and interactive viewing experience. On behalf of my fellow artists, it was an honour to have our artworks put on display and we would like to thank the Glen Eira Council Gallery for the opportunity to share our love of art with the local community. Please come along and support our talented group of Studio Art artists.

It was fantastic to see so many students, staff and parents attending the evening to show their support to our Media teams! Even more impressive were seeing how many students were involved in the production of these films, both behind the camera and on screen!
