Spring Soiree

The annual Spring Soiree will be held on the evening of Sunday, 9 September at 5:30pm, with refreshments served in the Pavilion from 4:30pm. This concert is the biggest of the College year, featuring performances from the Concert Band, Wind Band, Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Swing Band, Senior Flute Ensemble, Treble Choir and Chamber Choir! Graduating Year 12 musicians are also honoured on the night for their years of musical service to the College. Year 12 Recital Night

We are delighted to announce that entries are now being accepted into the Year 12 Recital Night, to be held in the GBLT on Wednesday 12 September. All Year 12 students who take tuition on an instrument or voice are invited to perform to a welcoming audience of peers, family, friends and staff. For many Year 12 students, this will represent their final performance opportunity at John XXIII College and is always a fabulous night of entertainment! The Year 12 Recital Night will be followed by a fully catered supper, and all participants and audience members are invited to attend.

Application forms for performers are available from Music Staff, or through the Music Office. Please contact the Music Office with any questions.

Singing in the City – Treble Choir

The dates for the annual Singing in the City festival have been announced as Sunday 21 October. The John XXIII College Treble Choir will be performing a half-hour program of choral works at Wesley Church in the heart of the city, from 2:00pm. This performance is unticketed, with free entry on the day, and all parents and family friends are invited to attend.

Senior Small Ensemble Soiree

Please note that the Senior Small Ensemble Soiree advertised for Sunday 26 August has been merged into a concert with other small ensembles on Sunday 28 October (Term 4). Senior small ensembles will perform at this concert, with Year 12 groups performing at the Year 12 Recital Night on Wednesday 12 September. Please contact the Music Department with any questions.
