What’s been happening in the Art Room?
In Art lessons, students in all year levels have been learning about the Elements and Principles of Art, where we have focused on Line, Colour and Value, Repetition and Pattern, and Unity and how they are used to create different effects in artworks.
Foundation students have made line monsters where they drew lines with black textas and then painted with food dye and Year 1/2 students used watercolour pencils to draw interesting lines.
Year 3/4 students learnt how to use lines to create a 3D hand while Year 5 students drew zentangle patterns on their hands.
In Year 6 students drew the first initial of their name in a manner which was colourful and representative of themselves.
Reminder
A friendly reminder that all students need to have an art smock at school each week to cover their school clothes when painting or completing messy tasks.
It does not need to be a traditional art smock, but needs to be large enough to cover the student’s school clothes.
Donations
In the Art Room, we would love some donations for future art projects:

* plastic yoghurt containers
* wool in camouflage colours – different shades of green, brown, black, grey
