Commonwealth Bank Student Banking:

Token Redemption Day

Due to the overwhelming success of School Banking, we are having ONE Token Redemption Day per term instead of children bringing in their tokens at different times. The Token Redemption Day for Term 3 2019 will be on Tuesday 29 August.

 What can be claimed?

These items are currently available (as at 29/8/2019) until sold out:

* Arctic Owl Fluffy Keyring                   * Scratch Art Cards

* Icicle Slapband Ruler                           * Yeti Fluffy Notebook

* Scented Stackable Highlighter        * Snowy Origami Set

What do you need to do?

Please bring in your 10 silver tokens or 1 gold token and redemption coupon in with your child’s School Banking by Tuesday 29 August. Only one of each reward is available per student per year.  If you need redemption coupons they are available in the office

foyer. We will then order the reward and have it back to your child as soon as we receive it.

Thanking You.

News from the Music Room!

News from the Music Room!

In Years Three to Six the children have chosen to extend their skills on the recorder.  This is a wonderful way for the students to play wind instruments and expose them to this section of the orchestra. Throughout our practice the children will explore the instrument, learn simple songs individually, work on whole class ensemble performances and try their hand at RECORDER BEATBOXING!  So far this term we have enjoyed learning to produce a nice recorder tone and have listened to a variety of good recorder playing from around the world.

If children in Years Three to Six own a recorder and would like to bring their instrument to school on music days, they are most welcome. So that all of the recorders are in tune for ensemble playing, we are only able to accept recorders with a B (baroque soprano recorder).  This letter can be found on the back of the instruments just below the thumb hole.  Please bring it to school to check if unsure.

Please ensure that recorders are clearly labelled with the students name and in labelled bag (pencil cases or drawstring bags work well).
