Piano Project Invitation

Dear FNPS community,
You are invited to an upcoming solo piano concert performance by Ross Calia (parent to Hazel, and Toby) that is raising funds for the Melbourne-based charity Piano Project. This charity provides instruments and music educational experiences to children and young people who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity (www.pianoproject.org.au).
If you have been to the LUME lately, you will have already experienced some of Ross’ original music composition, as well as his sound design and film-making talents. Despite the scale and complexity of the work he now undertakes, he recognises that his diverse and successful career all stemmed from the discovery of a piano in his neighbours living room when he was just 5 years old. With 5 musical children of his own, he cannot possible imagine life without the daily availability of instruments to play at, and opportunity for the education to accompany curiosity. So, he is thrilled to be contributing to the work of Piano Project, with a concert that will offer insight into the simplicity of where his creativity begins – switching off the noise of life and sitting quietly at a piano.
ALL ticket proceeds go directly to Piano Project, and please book ahead at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/862394
