Do you have a child that is starting school next year? Enrolments for Prep 2023 are now open. Please swing by the office and collect an enrolment pack.
We would like to remind our families that food sharing is not permitted at our school. We have a large number of students with allergies and anaphylaxis and, therefore, we ask parents to remind their children of this requirement.
Parents are reminded that the Department does not provide personal accident insurance for students. Parents and guardians are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including any transportation costs. These costs may be recoverable where injury is caused by the negligence (carelessness) of the Department, a school councillor, or their employees or volunteers.
Student accident insurance policies are available from some commercial insurers. These cover a range of medical expenses not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.
Personal property is often brought to school by students, staff and visitors. This can include mobile phones, calculators, toys and sporting equipment. The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property. Students are discouraged from bringing any unnecessary or particularly valuable items to school.
