Back to the 80's

The College Musical this year will take you on a journey back to a time when Michael Jackson and Rick Astley were the Kings of Pop. When bubble skirts and blue eye shadow were cool. Back to when the Atari was cutting edge technology.
From the era that brought the world The Rubik's Cube, Max Headroom and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes this "totally awesome" musical in the style of movies such as Back To The Future, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Karate Kid and The Wedding Singer.
In May this year we are inviting you to join the graduating class of William Ocean High School as they live through their final senior year - as they experience the fun, the heartbreak, the loves and the loneliness of growing up.... all set to the biggest hits of the 80's!!
Back to the 80s - Update
We have been rehearsing since October 2013, you won’t even want to take a chill pill as the show is totally rad. Like, totally. The tubular choreography, costumes, hairstyles and catchphrases are radical. You will be sure to say “I’ll be back” after seeing the show. If someone you know isn’t amped for the show, just say to them “Watchu talkin bout Willis?” So don’t be an airhead, dweeb, or wannabe, get stoked to the max about our show this year. The power is yours.
Bonus points if you remember all the 1980s catchphrases used in the message above.
Request for Sewing
We are looking for people who are willing and able to sew costumes for our college musical this year. We have the largest cast and ensemble we have put on a stage and would love your help. We will be having a sewing bee during each Sunday rehearsal - from 2pm til 5pm and you are welcome to join us for any of that time that suits. If you would prefer to take a pattern and some fabric home we welcome that support also. Can you please email me if you are interested in helping in this. Carl Heise heisec@ww.catholic.edu.au
Costume, Donate or Lend
We are looking for people who are willing to donate, or lend us 80s clothing. We have a cast of 18 Leads we need to deck out in a range of 80s clothing, and authentic, from the era gear can’t be beat.
