Year Six News

Well, as the last week of term approaches, we have looked back at our weeks of learning remotely and reflected on the journey so far. Having visitors join our Meets, having our classmates run Meets sharing games, cooking, footy facts and art, have been highlights of the afternoons. Writing emails and letters, information and opinion pieces, reading poems, newspaper articles, traditional stories and more, practicing translation and transformations, revising our number sense and problem-solving skills, our fractions understandings and more...what a term! Roaming the biomes, discovering adaptations that enable survival, including human survival in some of the extreme parts of this incredible planet, has also been part of our study. We have wondered, wandered and wowed all term.

Thanks to each and every Year Six student for their enthusiasm throughout.

As our season of scientists comes to a close next Monday with Dr Euan Ritchie's session, it has been so wonderful to still see the beauty, the mystery and the wonders of our natural world through their eyes as we learn from our own homes. We are certainly all better people from meeting these scientists along the way and from sharing the journey with our friends and teachers in Year Six.
