Important Transition Dates

Prep Transition

Each four year old class will have two sessions with a Prep teacher coming over to meet them and engage in some fun school like activities. The dates for these two sessions are below:

Blue Group: Monday 19th October, Monday 26th October- 9.30 am 

Purple Group: Tuesday 20th October, Tuesday 27th October- 9.30 am 

Orange Group: Thursday 22nd October, Thursday 29th October- 9.30 am

This will lead on to three orientation sessions at the school in the Prep area. The dates for these are:

• Thursday November 12th - 9.15 am- 10.15 am
• Tuesday November 17th- 9.15 am- 10.15 am
• Thursday November 26th- 10.15 am- 12.15 pm- includes a snack

There will be a parent/guardian Q and A session held on Thursday 15th October through Webex where you will be able to ask questions and learn more about prep and the wonderful prep team. Further details will be confirmed by the school.

OSHC Orientation

In Term four we will also be holding an orientation session during your child's kinder session for OSHC (Outside School Hours Care, also known as before and after school care). Each four year old group will go over to the new gym where OSHC is operated to meet Liz our OSHC coordinator and enjoy some fun activities together. This is always an exciting experience for all children but is an especially good introduction for children who may use this service next year. 

The relationships children develop with their OSHC educators and the peers they spend time with will have a significant impact in their lives over their time in primary school. OSHC orientation is an important part of how we work towards a true partnership between kinder, school and OSHC to support the wellbeing of all children.
