Every person has the right to live with dignity and to develop him or herself completely, even if they were born with or grew up with limitations. For the immense dignity of the human person is not based on circumstances but on the intrinsic worth of their being. #Fratelli Tutti -Pope Francis @Pontifex
Fratelli Tutti- latest encyclical by Pope Francis. An encyclical is a papal letter – the word “encyclical” means “circular letter” – usually addressed to Catholic clergy and containing the pope's views on church teachings and doctrine in a particular area.
During these times it is important that our faith, hope and love strengthens us and makes all things possible. I would like to share a summary, where Dr Sandie Cornish highlights key themes from Pope Francis’ latest encyclical, Fratelli Tutti- All Brothers & Sister - members of one human family. This encyclical is Pope Francis' latest since his last in 2015 Laudato Si'- Care for our Common Home.
Confirmation Candidates 2020
As advised at the end of Term 2, the date for this year's Confirmation celebrations had been rescheduled to the 10th of October with the possibility that this date may be subject to change until further notice. Given our COVID restrictions, we are not able to adhere to this rescheduled date.
We are awaiting the advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer on the number of attendees who may gather in places of worship. In this rapidly changing landscape, we are unsure of a certain date, but we will keep you informed of any decisions in the coming weeks.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is such a sacred and momentous occasion for every child's faith journey and should be celebrated with family, friends, and the whole Parish community.
We appreciate your continued support during this challenging time.
Reconciliation & First Eucharist Program-2020
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation & First Eucharist is the rite of initiation where the children make a commitment to their faith. As a school, we will continue to prepare the children for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and formation program for First Eucharist this term during school hours. Students will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at a date to be set for later in the term. This will take place at school during school hours.
At this stage, we have postponed the celebration of First Eucharist until Sunday 14th February 2021 at 9 am and 10:30 am Mass.
