Inquiry - Science Works

Middle school has started an inquiry topic around 'space', to kick us off Middle school adventured into science works, we couldn't have chosen a more perfect day! We headed into the general exhibition for a wander, most of the students headed straight to the sports section and were tested by the different machines. 

After a short snack, we made our way to the Planetarium. Here we were sent into space to look at the Earth's tilt and learn about why and how our seasons occur. This was a key part of our day, as our inquiry topic is based around space. The Planetarium has sparked many ideas for our students for moving into our Genius Hour activities. 

The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying the rest of the Scienceworks exhibit. It was a busy but fantastic day. We would like to say thank-you to Pam, Mel and Kelly for joining us to help make our day successful. 

Kinder Visits

During this term our middle students have been visiting our local kinders each Thursday these include; Hanson Park, Palm Grove, Kilsyth Kids and Ladybug. The students have enjoyed the opportunity to meet and interact with a range of kinder kids. All of middle school have been fantastic role models of our school values. We look forward to continuing to visit our local kinders over the next term. 

Production

What a fantastic night!! After all our hard work, it was great to see the enjoyment and success that all our students have had. Here is what a few students had to say: 

'My favourite part of production was probably the end bit.  It was fun and exciting. It was great to have the whole school on stage with all our parents clapping for us' - Jaslyn

'My favourite part of production was being in choir. I enjoyed going up on the stage more than once and we had worked hard on the songs' - Lily

'My favourite part of the production was backstage, waiting to go on, because I got to play my Final Fantasy game with Archer' - Cian

'My favourite part of production was having the audience watch us while we were dancing and having them clap for us' - Jack  

'My favourite part of production was the dance. It was my favourite because the grade 4's dance was the BEST and I got to spend the night with my friends.' - Mykayla
