Best Exhibitor at the Victorian Reptile and Amphibian Expo

For the fifth year in a row, Lilydale High School has exhibited at the Victorian Reptile and Amphibian Expo, the biggest of its kind in Australia.

Each year we have raised the bar a little, but this year, we raised the standard higher than ever before and were awarded the Best Display of the show.   From our humble beginnings of a single table 5 years ago, we have grown to 12 tables and significant floor space with in the exhibition building at the Melbourne Show Grounds.

We are now so well-known and our Reptile House program is gaining ever increasing recognition, not only for the amazing animals we display and how we display them, but more so,  for opportunities we offer our students and how well our students represent the program.  People are constantly amazed by how much our students know, how skilled they are at handling and working with the animals and how well they communicate this knowledge and passion with members of the public.

We had 20 students attend this year and they did not disappoint!  They were amazing representatives of the school and should be commended for their efforts. We’re looking forward to seeing what we can achieve next year.
