Instrumental Music students

The Instrumental Music Department finished off the year with a couple of performances. 

On Friday 7 December, the Year 7 Rookie Band with the Year 8 Band students formed together to play 4 songs; "Louie Louie", "Bunyip Blues", "We Will Rock You" and "Another One Bites the Dust" at Lilydale West Primary School (9.30 am) and Lilydale Primary School (11.30 am).

Throughout the performances, students in the band were asked to do a demonstration of their instrument to the Grades 5 and 6 audience. They all did a fantastic job and the students in the audience loved it. 

We would like to thank the parents who helped with driving the students and taking the equipment to the schools; Kristylee Laurita, Valerie Carswell, Narelle Allison, Sandra Rowe and Evan Sebire.

Congratulations to the following students who also performed on Friday 7 December; Erin Allison, Jessica Ammerlaan, Jordy Armstrong, Julia Bidinost, Eliza Black, Rose Campbell, Amelia Carswell, Merrick Edleston, Oscar Geddes, Heidi Graupner, Sian Jones, Bethany Lamont, Johnathan Laurita, Ebony Leitch, Charley Nugent, Hayley Pearce and Mitchell Rowe.

Also on Friday 7 December,  Bronwyn Ventura took students from the LHS Band to perform carols at the Lilydale Market Place. Congratulations on a job well done.

A big congratulations to the following 4 flute students who achieved excellent results in their Flute exams with the Australian Music Examinations Board; Jessica Clark, Valentina Aloysius, Lilly Urquhart and Tobi Phillips.
