The ECP and Super Happy Fun Day 2018

Welcome to the end of 2018! As we enter a new year of exciting opportunities and learning, it is important to reflect on our achievements throughout this year and how we will better ourselves in the future.

While it may be difficult to find motivation at this time of year, the ECP provides students with a glimpse of what is to come, this means new teachers, new classes and most importantly, new stationery! We encourage students to use this time to their advantage and get to know their teachers, and maybe even get some early revision done before the holidays!

As your 2019 College Captains, we are really looking forward to the year ahead and what we can accomplish at Matthew Flinders Girls.

As an induction into school captaincy, with the help of the leadership team for 2019, we organised our ‘Super Happy Fun Day' for Friday 30th of November as a celebration for the end of the schooling year and all things ‘happy’! We wanted to foster positivity within our students and start off the new year with optimism.

The event was held on the Helen Fraser Campus at recess and lunch, including:

- Food trucks

- Open mic.

- Instagram photo booth competition

- Guess the teacher’s “starter pack”

- Quiet space for board games

- Smaller activities such as skipping, bubbles, chalk, etc.

The 2019 Leadership Team will also be attending the annual leadership camp to plan our major events and activities for 2019.
