Wellbeing News

To Parents/Carers,

We are excited to announce that Altona College has collaborated with D.O.T.S to secure the services of an occupational therapist one day a week, beginning in Term 2. These appointments will be conducted onsite at Altona College and are available solely to our students. The appointments will be run privately through D.O.T.S and the usual fees will apply to families. D.O.T.S is an NDIS provider and accepts students on the NDIS.

We have undertaken this arrangement to provide some short term supports to the large number of families who are struggling to find O.T. appointments external to school or who are currently on the extensive waiting lists. School based goals and strategies will be a focus for these sessions and will allow our therapists to complete class observations and collaborate directly with the teacher and the school.

If you would like to discuss further or have any queries, please contact me (Phone: 92508050 or julie.giles@eduction.vic.gov.au) or D.O.T.S (details in the attached flyer). If you are interested, please follow the link on the flyer to completed the referral forms.

Kind regards

Julie Giles
