Our new term has begun in a fun and exciting way for all our Chinese and Asian studies students! Grade 1s having been reviewing counting in Chinese whilst the Grade 2s have been starting to learn what different games are called to get ready to talk about what games they like to play. 

For the older grades we are looking at how to talk about time in Chinese. Grade 3s are looking at days of the week and times of the day. Grade 4s are reviewing how to describe what is going on at a certain moment in Chinese: learning to say sentences like ‘when Will was making hamburgers.’ As the term moves on, they will start to learn more about talking about things happening in the past and the future.

Grades 5s and 6s are also reviewing how to describe what’s going on at a certain time but they are moving on towards learning how to talk about what happens before an event and what happens after. Interesting learning ahead!
