Supporting those in need

Our School Captain, Stella Boyce and Boarding Captain, Ava Smith, have been leading the charge, fundraising for a very worthy cause in our community. Thank you to all of our community members who supported these fundraising events. Stella shared a story about their trip to the Women's Shelter to see where the funds go.

On Tuesday morning, Ava Smith and myself were lucky enough to be invited to the Albany Women’s Shelter to deliver a cheque, representing the money raised from our International Women’s Day cake stall. Thanks to everyone who supported us on the International Women’s Day and the Primary School’s final day sausage sizzle. As a result of these two events we were able to donate over $600 to the shelter and were invited to hand deliver the cheque to them and see what they do and where they do it. The house was beautiful and was brightly coloured and extremely welcoming. We met Es-Mare, Aimee, Jo and many other employees and learnt all about their roles at the centre. We were told that the money we donated would go towards helping with school supplies, moving materials, food and even vouchers for mothers to have a day for themselves. This was an incredibly eye opening experience as we got to really understand what we are raising money for and where that money goes.

Walk to School Day

On Friday 12 May we will have our Walk to School Day, setting off from Coraki Park at 8.00am.  Students can bring their school bags and put them in the school bus which will bring bags back to school.  Once we have walked to school there will be milo and muffins served outside the Library for the walkers. A shuttle service for parents to go back to the park to collect their cars will depart at 8.45am from the school.  Please come and join us to celebrate the health and community building benefits of walking to school.

Uniform Shop

Please note that the Uniform Shop will be closed on Monday 22 May.
