Music Camp

Sunday 7 May and Monday 8 were spent working hard for all the musicians from Years Five to Twelve in the Intermediate Strings, Senior Strings, Pipe Band, Concert Band, Guitar Ensemble and Primary Voices. Students spent two days rehearsing for over eight hours at Camp Quaranup. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to just focus on their music and ensemble. A lot of progress was made as we prepare for our approaching Twilight concerts and start our repertoire for the Kingfisher Concert in September.

Everyone had fun in the quiz prepared by Arts Captain Jake Knight and expertly hosted by Jake Knight and Ivy Moir. The quiz included a combination of questions and two activities; a team egg and spoon race in the dark and a marshmallow and toothpick construction competition.

On Monday morning the Pipe Band travelled to two Aged Care Residences and performed for some very grateful residents as a small community service contribution to our town.

Thank you to every student and tutor involved for a wonderful camp.
