Safety

At Resurrection School we take student safety very seriously and we want to work closely with families to ensure all students are safe at all times.

Safety is everyone's responsibility!!

Resurrection School is so lucky to have Edgar Ellis as our crossing supervisor.  Edgar has been working tirelessly for over ten years making sure all students, parents and grandparents get across Corrigan Road safely.

Edgar recently told us that his morning and afternoon shifts ''feel like heaven'' and he throughly enjoys helping students and families get safely across Corrigan Road.  

Please share this short video with your children about the importance of using the school crossing. 

If your child rides or scooters to school please make sure they walk their bike or scooter across the crossing and down the school driveway.

Just a friendly reminder that Resurrection School and Parish has three driveways. Families can use Entry 1 and 2 between 9:00am - 3:00pm and after 4:00pm.  Families can not use Entry 3 at any time.

•    All children deserve to get to school safely.

•    Getting children to school safely is everyone’s job

•    Think before you park, drive, drop off and pick up.

Be courteous and aware

•    Follow signs, road rules and parking signs. They are there to keep our children safe.

•    Be extra careful and patient around schools. 

•    Slow down and be alert! Children can be unpredictable. Remain careful, especially at the busy morning and afternoon school times.

Carpark Safety

 We ask all students and parents to please use the yellow safety path when walking on our school driveway. Using this path ensures drivers know where to expect to see students and families.

Just a reminder that families can not park or drive on the school driveway between 8:00-9:00am and 3:00-4:00pm. This is for the safety of all. 

All school traffic must park in the back carpark (pedestrian accessible via Gate 7), OR off Corrigan Rd and the surrounding streets.

We now have a large 'Shared Zone' sign in place in the back carpark. Drivers are advised that this area is for shared use of cars and foot traffic, and you MUST drive slowly.

Safety of Students

Just a friendly reminder that our school gates open at 8:30 am each morning.  No student should be arriving at school before 8:30am as the teachers are not on duty and these students are unsupervised.

If families need to drop their children at school before 8:30am they can be supervised by our Out of Hours Care Program run by Camp Australia.
