Education & Faith

Holy Week

As we finished up Term 1, we enter into the Liturgical Season of Easter.

On Thursday 6th April, many of our SRC Leaders and the Year 5 drummers led the school in the Stations of the Cross. Each of the 14 Stations retells part of Jesus' trial, crucifixion and burial through images and words which we reflect upon. This is a solemn time to reflect on how we should be constantly building right relationships with others.

Hoping everyone had a safe and happy Easter.

Anzac Day Liturgy

On Monday 24th April, the Faith and Social Justice Leaders joined with the Environmental Leaders to present an Anzac Day liturgy in each of the classrooms. On Anzac Day, we remember the people from the Australian and New Zealand Army who fought in Gallipoli in World War I. Sprigs of rosemary from our school kitchen garden were placed on prayer tables by the Environmental Leaders as a symbol of remembrance.
