District Cross Country - 24th May

Those selected students will represent Somerville Primary School at the Murdoch District Cross Country on Wednesday 24th May 2023 at Hastings Foreshore.The program for the day as previous years will be:- * 9 years girls' 10.00am start - 1.5km* 9 years boys' 10.15am start -1.5km* 10 years girls' 10.30am start - 2km* 10 years boys' 10.45am start - 2km* PRESENTATIONS - 9 and 10 Years results 11.00 a.m. * 11 years girls' 11.30am start - 3km* 11 years boys' 11.50am start - 3km* 12/13 years girls' 12.10pm start - 3km* 12/13 years boys' 12.30pm start - 3km* PRESENTATIONS - 11 and 12/13 Years results. 1.00 p.m.(Please note that the times for the start of each event are only approximate and can vary on the day.)

Year 1 Aquarium Excursion - 1st Junbe

This term in Inquiry, the Year Ones are learning about Sea Life. To build upon students'connections with Sea Life, we will be visiting the Melbourne Aquarium, to engage in a guidedtour about sea life habitats on Thursday the 1st of June. Students will then have theopportunity to explore the Melbourne Aquarium.

 

Year 3 Adam Wallace Author Incursion - 1st June

Year 3 students will participate  in a fun, exciting and interactive writing and cartooning workshop with Adam. He will talk about his books, discuss the writing techniques he uses, and then use those techniques to create amazing stories. 

 

Senior Winter Lightning Premiership- Friday 2nd June

On Friday the 2nd June we will be having a Winter Sport Lightning Premiership Day. This will be a full day of competition and students will be participating in their allocated teams for Senior Sport.Football will be played at Baxter ParkNetball will be played at Lloyd Park in LangwarrinNewcombe will be played at Langwarrin Park Primary SchoolSoccer will be played at Casey Fields.Tee-ball will be played at Robinsons Rd Park.The cost for this Lightning Premiership day is to cover the busses to our venues, first aid as well as referees. This cost is $14 and can be paid via Sentral Pay, CSEF or at the office.Students will need to bring their lunch, snacks and drink bottle with them. A change of clothes may be required for some teams (Football & Soccer) depending on the weather conditions. Football and Soccer students may wear boots and a mouth guard is preferred.Parents are welcome to come and support our students at their venues.
