Have you ever heard of box breathing also called the navy SEAL technique?
If you want to teach your child one thing to help them calm down whether anxious or angry this could be it!

Have you ever heard of box breathing also called the navy SEAL technique?
If you want to teach your child one thing to help them calm down whether anxious or angry this could be it!
Just imagine a square. Breath in through your nose for 4 seconds. hold for 4 seconds, exhale through your mouth for 4 seconds and wait 4 seconds and repeat the whole cycle as many times as needed. (do 3 or 2 seconds if you prefer to get started)
Deep breathing helps aid the body in many functions such as:
➔ Calming and regulate the nervous system
➔ Help the body cope with stress
➔ Ease panic and worry
➔ Bring more oxygen to the body
So take a deep breath or several.............I do.....often....it helps".
