Library and Resource Centre

Maryanne Gustus

We are looking forward to celebrating BOOK WEEK next week, an event that has eluded us for the past two years due to Covid.

The theme for 2022, “Dreaming with Eyes Open”, acknowledges the rich storytelling culture of Australia’s First Nations Peoples.

We have chosen Wednesday August 24th as the day on which the LIBRARY will be gloriously alight with Dress ups, competitions, an abundance of sweet foods and simply oodles of FUN.  I have heard that Willy Wonka is to make an appearance, he is going to hide a Golden Ticket in the Library.  The person who finds this ticket on the day will win a prize.

We wish to encourage many students to "Dress up".

Please note that costumes will need to be changed into at LUNCHTIME on Wednesday. You are not permitted to arrive or depart school wearing anything other than your uniform.

Of course, PRIZES will be awarded for the best costumes and, just as you did in Primary School, please carry a copy of the book that contains your chosen character.
