GWR Table Tennis Tournament

On Friday 5th August our Year 7 & 8 Boys teams represented King’s in the GWR Table Tennis Tournament. With the home ground advantage offered to King’s, our Year 7 & 8 teams took to hosting the other competitors with amazing respect and courtesy. Our year 8 Boys team worked hard and came third in their pool. Our Year 7 Boys were undefeated and are now advancing to the state finals in November. A big congratulations to all students involved and we look forward to seeing how our Year 7 team fair at the state competition next term.

Victorian Country Swimming Championships

On the weekend of July 30th, Josh (Year 7) competed at the Victorian Country Swimming Championships in Ballarat. He qualified for six events and achieved personal best's in all six events over the weekend. The most outstanding event for Josh was the 200m freestyle where he made a 6.91sec improvement in his time. On the weekend of August 6th, Josh qualified for Victorian State Age Championships in Melbourne. He swam well and enjoyed the experience of racing against the top kids in his age group. Next year, Josh is aiming for national times.
