Design Technology

For 2022, Semester Two I was lucky enough to get design materials for one of my electives. I have found design materials very fascinating and very creative. Most of the time it has been a hands-on experience but sometimes we have to do theory because we need to learn about the safety of each piece of equipment and how to act appropriately around the woodwork room. Our first project was to create our initials for our names, our second project was to create toast tongs and our third project so far was to create a box with a lid that slides. In all of our projects so far, each one needed patience, precision and care. I wanted to say thank you to all the teachers who have set design materials up so students can experiment with different materials and lastly, I wanted to say a big thank you to Mr Cherrington who has helped us create so many creative projects.
