Puppets and Parades!

In Week 6 on Monday morning, Foundation started the day with an entertaining puppet show presented by ‘Don’t Move Puppet Theatre’. Students were entertained by 3 stories, showcasing the mastery and magic of puppetry. Following the show, John (the puppet master) revealed some of his best-kept performance secrets. Students were shown how a puppet theatre works behind the scenes. John also demonstrated the different ways puppets can be made and how they move. The fun continued later in the week when students had the opportunity to make their very own puppet. Some of these puppet masterpieces can also be viewed on the ‘Don’t Move Puppet Theatre’ website.

This week on Tuesday, Foundation celebrated Book Week at Rangeview’s Book Parade. Many excited students arrived at school, dressed as their favourite book character. It was clear that brilliant thought and effort had been put into creating and sourcing fabulous costumes for this occasion. In the hall, Foundation students joined their buddies to listen to performances by our talented choirs and band. The students looked amazing as they proudly paraded in their costumes, showcasing favourite story book characters. Thank you to our Foundation families for supporting your child to join in this festive day, allowing your creativity to shine.

Have a wonderful week!
