Sport
Volleyball
This week we have started our volleyball unit, students from Foundation to Level 6 have begun to have the opportunity to work in pairs and small groups in order to understand the game’s basic principles. Our Level 3-6 students have been learning how to correctly serve, strike, set and dig a volleyball, whilst our Foundation – Level 2 students have been learning how to play a modified version of volleyball called ‘Newcomb ball’. Lots of fun!
AFL Clinics
Last week, all the students at Rangeview participated in Footy clinics run by AFL Victoria. The students worked on skill such as handballing, kicking, movement, goal kicking and marking. It’s great to see so many boys and girls across the school starting their football journeys at local clubs.
Run Club
It has been fantastic seeing so many students still participating in Run club during the cold winter months. Thank you again to our amazing parents and teachers who support this each Tuesday and Thursday morning. We wanted to give a very special congratulations to Angus Alder from 5/6M who has become the first Rangeview student to reach the 300-lap milestone, this is equivalent to almost 200km of running!! Amazing job, Angus. 😊
