• Donaudampfschifffahrtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft  is the longest German word to be published - it’s 79 letters long!

It means association for subordinate officials of the head office management of the Danube steamboat electrical services. 

• Germany is a nation that loves books and publishes around 94,000 titles every year
