From Principal Steve - NAPLAN

Dear Parents and Carers,

Hopefully you have seen the recent Compass post summarising our NAPLAN results for this school year.  If you missed it, our 2022 NAPLAN results demonstrate significant growth in student achievement in reading, writing, numeracy, spelling, as well as grammar and punctuation over 2-3 years despite the challenges of remote learning

In 2019 prior to making significant shifts to teaching and learning at Brighton Primary School, our school was above average compared with the State School mean however, we were below average in most learning areas when compared with other Network Beachside Schools and Similar Schools.

I am pleased to report that Brighton Primary School is now above the mean in all learning areas compared with State, Network as well as Similar Schools. Please refer to the report below for further information.

We extend our congratulations and sincere gratitude to all members of our community - teachers, staff as well as parents/carers - who have worked in partnership to support students and their learning over the last 2-3 challenging years. Your collaboration, partnership, and hard work has significantly enhanced learning for students (and teachers) at Brighton Primary School.

Wishing all our families a safe and happy holiday break!

Steve
