Assistant Principal 

Parent Teacher Conferences are occurring this term, again running both online and on-site. Online interviews are underway Tuesday of this week and being conducted on Microsoft TEAMS.  Interviews will also be conducted on site on Wednesday the 14th of September. Parents are reminded of the Compass communication which has already gone out with regards to these important days. If any family requires an interpreter for their meetings, please ensure to contact myself as soon as possible on Joshua.simpson@education.vic.gov.au 

Year 7 Immunizations occurred on Friday the 2nd of September. Students were receiving their second dose of HPV to follow up from those students who received their first dose in March. Any student who had missed the vaccination rounds in 2022 and would like to follow up with them are encouraged to contact their GP or local council for further information. 

In week 7 the junior school conducted its first eSports event with students within years 7 and 8 participating in a Mario Kart tournament to find would be crowned the house and junior school champion. Across the week there was a lot of excitement about with many of the races coming down to the wire. The final was held between one representative from each of the school houses. The students who made the final were Darko of 8H, Ayden of 7E, of 7H and Aaron of 7I. Congratulations to Darko Topkoski of 8H who was our overall winner, thank you to all those who had participated and thank you to Miss Laird for her hard work and organization. 

The college production of Moana Jr will be running on Wednesday the 7th of September. Tickets are selling fast and spaces are limited.

The SRC is running its second out of uniform day for the term on Tuesday the 13th of September. The theme of the day is “Footy Colours Day”. Students are encouraged to wear a top of their favourite football team. Football could be in any variety of the code (AFL, NRL, Soccer etc..). A gold coin donation is required.
