Assistant Principal

Year 9 & 10

What a week it has been! On Friday 26th of August we had our first year 10 formal for 2 years and what an evening it was!

At Normanby house in Northcote, our Year 10 students were dressed to impress! You could see the effort that students had put into their outfits. Many students arrived in some very stylish cars and many pictures were taken!

As soon as the music started, every single student was up on the dance floor immediately and then this didn’t really change for the rest of the evening! The music was great, and many times teachers were asked up to the dance floor to show off their moves as well! I couldn’t keep up with the students for very long, but Mrs Kotsopoulos was a force to be reckoned with!

Our Year 9 students are currently having a successful camp. Despite an earlier flight there were no hiccups and all students arrived on time. Be on the lookout in future newsletters for images from this camp which has a range of exciting activities for our year 9 students.

I thank all staff involved for their efforts in ensuring that these important events occur for our Middle School students.

As we are approaching the end of term, please be on the lookout for our parent teacher conferences and the bookings schedule. Students will receive a progress report at the end of term and it is imperative that parents take advantage of the opportunity to speak to your child’s teachers to discuss their progress. These conferences give teachers, parents and students an opportunity to work together to improve student outcomes.

Finally, just a reminder that Term 4 is fast approaching and it is a good time to check current summer uniform and ensure that you access the uniform shop in advance of term 4 if you require a new summer uniform item. The college regularly does uniform checks to be sure that our students are wearing their uniform correctly and with pride. The uniform policy can be found on our college website.
