Melbourne Water – Brodies Creek

Aitken College is again working in partnership with Melbourne Water as part of their Liveable Communities Liveable Waterways initiative to continue to redevelop Brodies Creek. The main activities of this project are weed control and revegetation. The weed control involves the removal of exotic vegetation and then laying of jute matting. Revegetation involves the planting of native grasses and shrubs, such as kangaroo grass, billy buttons and tussock grass. This project has been running for several years.
