The 58th SA Hamann School Mathematics Competition 2019

The 58th SA Hamann School Mathematics Competition 2019

Last term, students in our accelerated Mathematics classes across the school, in addition to any student who was interested, entered the SA Hamann School Mathematics Competition.  Our students have achieved some amazing results and I commend them all for their efforts and accomplishments.

In particular, the following students deserve a mention:

  • Akshat Dev placed third in the state in the primary division.
  • Angelo Delacruz also placed third in the state, but in the Junior division.
  • Hugh Caton was awarded a High Distinction in the primary division.
  • Brothers Yemo Koo (Intermediate division) and Youngmo (Silas) Koo (Senior division) both were awarded with High Distinctions.

All the above students will have the opportunity of attending an awards night on 26 June in which students from across the state will be recognised for their achievements.

A big thank you also goes out to their Mathematics teacher and mentor Ms Frost who has supported these students in their mathematics enticement class.
